Aspo uses every means at its disposal to improve the
professionalism of its staff and to create a motivating atmosphere.
Aspo HR management is based on open internal communication that
supports commitment and the embracing of the targets.
We encourage strong performances. Regular performance reviews
are a pivotal tool in our HR management. We invest in training and
the development of professional skills on every organizational
level. Training programs are tailored to meet the varying needs of
each division.
We manage wellbeing at work by creating the best possible
physical and mental working conditions. To reward staff members
Aspo divisions use a variety of incentive systems. These incentive
systems are linked to the achievement of the specific financial
objectives of each division.
In December of 2002 the Aspo Plc Board approved a new incentive
system for executives in which bonuses are linked to the yield on
the company's stock.
Personnel Fund
In 2005, a personnel fund was set up for motivational
purposes. It covers all Aspo Group personnel working in
Finnish units. The possibilities for the staff of
international subsidiaries to join the fund are being
explored.
Part of the Aspo Group's earnings will be placed in the
personnel fund as a profit bonus. The objective is that the
fund uses the majority of the profit bonuses to purchase Aspo
shares. The objective is for personnel to become a key
owner.
